Crane Limited, which is a leading supplier of products to the Building Services market through the Crane and Hattersley brands, and to the water and gas utility markets under the Viking Johnson and Wask brands, has today announced that it has purchased the entire share capital of Delta Fluid Products Limited. The Company which is based in St Helens, Merseyside, employs approximately 220 people and 2008 sales are estimated at £20m.

Delta Fluid Products Limited is a leading supplier of regulators and ball valves to the gas industry under the Sperryn brand. It is also a leading supplier of a range of products to the Building Services market including safety and pressure valves for commercial and industrial hot water, steam and air applications under the NABIC brand, bronze valves and industrial pipe fittings under the Brownall brand, brass compression fittings and accessories under the Wade brand and sight flow indicators under the Rhodes brand. There are also other products in the range which are particularly important in defending against infections in the potable water supply.

This is a strategic acquisition which provides us with a range of complimentary products which strengthens and reinforces our position within the global Building Services and gas markets. The products are totally complimentary with our existing range and follow the same common distribution channels. The Building Service brands will be sold through our existing Crane and Hattersley sales teams which will be strengthened by the addition of Delta staff, while the Wask and Sperryn teams will be combined to offer a wider portfolio of gas products. This acquisition will enable us to provide our customers with a wider choice of products and further enhances our position as an innovative, cost effective provider of solutions for the fluid and gas handling markets.
