New DN225 Pipe Repair Clamp Plugs A Gap

Posted on 01st Nov 2007

In response to customer demand, Viking Johnson has added a DN225 / 9" size to its range of EasiClamp for repairing leaks on damaged pipes.

The introduction of the new size means that 9" pipes with working pressures of up to 16 bar can now be repaired with EasiClamp instead of stainless steel alternatives, which have a lower pressure rating.

EasiClamp reduces the need for cut-out repairs on all commonly encountered pipe materials - cast and ductile iron, steel, PVC and asbestos cement.

By using Viking Johnson's unique, 360-degree 'waffle' gasket it guarantees a quick, first-time seal on leaks caused by circumferential breaks, corrosion holes, impact damage and longitudinal cracks. In addition, the high-strength clamp body of ductile and/or malleable iron or steel reinforces the pipeline, giving the repair the same strength as the original pipe.

EasiClamp is available in sizes from DN50/2" to DN300/12"; its OD tolerance range of up to 26mm means one clamp will suit the majority of pipe ODs for the same nominal bore.

Self retaining bolts make it easy to install using just a torque wrench, and corrosion protection is provided by Rilsan Nylon 11 on the body and Sheraplex on the nuts and bolts.
