Severn Trent Conects With Viking Johnson

Viking Johnson has secured a framework agreement with Severn Trent for the supply of pipe couplings, flange adaptors and repair products. The contract is for three years, with options for two one-year extensions.
The arrangement confirms Viking Johnson's position as the number one supplier of pipe joints and repair products in the UK.
Logistics is centred on the Stoke-on-Trent depot of distributor FWB Products, which will maintain stock levels at all nine of Severn Trent's stores and supply directly to contractor sites.
Immediate availability of standard items and capacity to manufacture specials on demand at very competitive terms was the main influence on Severn Trent's decision. Other considerations were the technical performance of the products; Viking Johnson's enthusiasm to work with STW on their product development programme; and the company's commitment to environmental best practice, as demonstrated by its ISO14001 accreditation and involvement in the CCNSG health and safety 'site passport' scheme.
